Proficient: Course and Materials in Competency Based Clinical Social Work Supervision, course # 6522, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Illinois Center for Social Work Development as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 01/08/2026-1/8/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 6.0 Clinical continuing education credits.
How It Works

Enroll online through the registration buttons located on the front and current pages. You will be directed to the course platform and asked to create a personal password.

Review all 3 educational video and take the exams. Once all 3 exams are passed, you will receive your certification of completion for your 6 hours of clinical CEUs. .

All Proficient Certified providers are invited to apply for the Clinical Supervision Suite.

Proficient Certified providers that are a part of the Clinical Supervision Suite will be available to accept statewide referrals for supervision services.

Proficient Certified Clinical Supervisors will be invited to join the monthly Clinical Supervision cohort.
Monthly meetings, additional resources, and coaching will be available. You do not need to be part of the Clinical Supervision Suite to belong to the cohort.
